Nina and Richard's Wedding Weekend

The Fourth of July weekend turned out to be the perfect time to have a wedding. The weather was great, traffic was minimal and everyone was in a good mood. Family came from far and wide with Uncle Gogen getting the prize for longest distance traveled. I wish my pictures turned out better and that I took more than I did. I should have also written down the names of our new family members. I'm hoping that Nina will fill in the blanks and add a few more pictures when she gets the prints from the photographer. In the mean time, please enjoy the photos below and check back to see if I've added captions and more photos. Might I suggest that you bookmark this page?

The Bridal Luncheon

It takes work to be beautiful?

Mirror, mirror on the wall. Who is the fairest of them all?

Mom is!

Pictures, Pictures, Pictures

Once we were finally ready, we went to the chapel to take pictures. Here are a few shots that Stephanie took with my camera. Unfortunately I was not around when Richard took pictures with his groomsmen and family. I'm hoping that Nina will share a few photos from the photographer.

The Wedding

The time had come to make the trip down the aisle. Courtney went first as she was the prettiest of the brides maids. The came Tia and finally the matron, me!

Nina looked beyond happy and we were all happy for her. I think my dad was more than pleased too!

The service was short, sweet, and lovely with the bride being reminded to obey her husband!

With the vows said and the music playing, Nina and Richard lead the way to the reception in the church parlor.

The Reception

After the wedding we all joined Nina and Richard in the church parlor for finger sandwiches and cake. It is my opinion the the grooms cake was the best ever!! The chocolate cake was moist and the icing beyond delicious.

I was fortunate to get a picture before the table was consumed by the hordes of hungry wedding goers.

Here we are sitting around getting to know one another. I had some wonderful conversations with Richards relatives. I wish I was a better photographer and had taken more pictures of those who shared this special day.

I never did find out what was in the basket but the pictures were great.

What wedding would be complete if the cake pictures weren't included!

(The chocolate cake was the best!)

The end to a perfect day!

Well the cake has been eaten, the guests have started to leave and all that is left is the rest of their lives together. We all had a great time celebrating the wedding of Nina and Richard.

It was a long day and i think no one was more grateful to see the car then Nina and Richard.

I think we might have thrown more rice hearts at each other than at Richard and Nina.

When the Limo finally arrived everyone cheered them on!
